Robert Young is a USC Petroleum Engineer graduate and a Registered Project Manager (PMP). He has over 30-years experience in Drilling & Completions engineering and operations management with emphasis in: well planning, risk, safe operations, materials and logistics for land and offshore wells (Deepwater & jack-up) including HT/HP, MPD and horizontal ERW projects. Recently, Robert served as Drilling Manager in Brazil (Campos Basin, offshore), prior to that he was senior drilling engineer on a Deepwater well in Papua, Indonesia – the deepest drilled to date in S.E. Asia (6,500m in 1100m water depth). Robert also served PEMEX (Petroleos Mexicanos) as Deepwater Technical Adviser in the Poza Rica regional office. Duties included consulting on Deepwater drilling programs, mentoring Pemex engineers, and operational supervision. Robert has developed an extensive knowledge base of technical and business skill sets consulting in over 25 countries for various NOC (National Oil Companies), IOC’s and medium size energy firms.
